Only at the age of 22, in 1900, he founded The Firestone Tire & Rubber Co and in 1928 he opened the first Firestone factory outside the United States, specifically in Brentford, England.
To achieve this, Harvey S. Firestone envisioned that the future of transportation would go hand in hand with four-wheeled motor vehicles and, in 1906, agreed with his friend Henry Ford to be the manufacturer of the Model T tires. In 1920, the company had a turnover of $ 115 million. This time of change inspired Firestone to open multi-service stations, which quickly spread throughout the United States, selling tires, offering oil and battery changes, as well as brake repairs and other maintenance work.
